We are not even a year old and Beineinu has accomplished so much. Beineinu launched last fall with our inaugural High Holiday Services, bringing us together as a community for the first time. The services were spiritual, meaningful and filled with beautiful music and prayers. We held “rockin” monthly Shabbat services followed by scrumptious dinners, engaged in Justice work to feed the hungry and help the homeless, explored the rich relationship between melody and text, and currently throughout the summer we meet for a Shabbat celebration “Under the Bridge” (Brooklyn never looked better.) We crafted personalized spiritual pathways for households and designed rich and dynamic opportunities for becoming Bar and Bat Mitzvah. Most importantly, we provided the opening for people to connect with one another and Jewish culture in relevant and purposeful ways.

Our little community has grown much faster than even we anticipated – and the wider world has been taking notice! We have had knocks on our door from much larger Jewish organizations wanting to know the secret of our success.

Soon we will be holding our second High Holiday Services at West End Synagogue. Click here for more information and registration. We hope you can join us!

In addition, we are planning an exciting and robust calendar of community-wide programming, including cultural, educational, spiritual and social opportunities open to everyone.

Beineinu is committed to being accessible to all, regardless of background or ability to pay. That is one of our great strengths and why we have drawn in so many diverse and interesting friends. But it also means that those who can afford to be generous cover the costs of those who cannot afford to pay. We strongly believe that this is how it should be. Beineinu does not charge membership dues or mandatory fees to support its activities. Our modest fees don’t cover our costs. We must depend on everyone to help in order to meet our financial goals. Every amount is appreciated and helpful.

We are pleased to announce that Beineinu has been approved as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. What this means is that donations and contributions to Beineinu are now fully tax deductible!

We hope our tax exempt status will encourage Beineinu households to support Beineinu’s vision of building a vibrant Jewish community, supporting each of us to embrace being Jewish as relevant and meaningful in today’s world.

Just like NPR, you decide how much to give. How much is substantive, engaging, fun and thoughtful programming worth to you? How much is enabling others to participate in the Beineinu community worth to you? How much is continuing to grow our strong community worth to you? Here’s how you can contribute: checks can be made payable to Beineinu and sent to 240 Lenox Ave, Suite G, NY, NY 10027. You can also contribute via paypal on our website at beineinu.com.

Making it happen…Beineinu. Between Us, we build community.
